obsession

i am becoming obsessed with sleep. one goal for the new year is to get at least one 8 hr uninterrupted nights sleep by the time im 30.

lola is getting another(!!!!) tooth on front bottom. im assuming thats why she is so unsettled these days. who knows. just when you think you have her figured out she changes.

its the new year in approximately 1hr and 15 min. im going to bed. have a drink for me:)

lola's first christmas

well the little froglet was sick for her first xmas. but it was good anyway. lo and i got up around 8 . i tried to finish the pile of dishes that kept getting put off bc lola was very demanding of my time the last few days. it seems wrong to be doing dishes on christmas but life goes on huh. didnt get them done we played and nursed and i let her open one gift. daddy wasnt up yet. he worked late the night before. so she sat in her chair that aunt susan got her and opened her first christmas gift. it was an ornament from james that was engraved with her name. she really liked the paper better than the gift itself:) i took some pics and she gnawed on the paper a bit-got it nice and soggy. daddy got up around noon. its so weird now that i refer to paul as daddy? i used to think my grandparents were odd for doing that but now i understand. anyway. lo and i got a quick nap- i cant even remember how long or if we napped together. my brain doesnt remember things anymore. lack of sleep i guess. we opened our gifts around 3 i think? lola had already received most of her gifts earlier so she just had 2 to open. pop together beads and a soft puzzle. in her stocking was a bib and some books. then we all got ready and went to pg's mom's. all his siblings and his dad were there. lola was not happy to be there. she wasnt feeling well and did not want to socialize. everyone opened their presents. lola really just liked to eat the paper. she wasnt interested in the gifts. pg took us home. some crazy drunk woman flagged us down on the way home. said someone robbed her. then proceeds to tell us she was lying. the bizarre part of this is last xmas we picked up a different woman who flagged us down for help-she was a looney also. strange. lo didnt want to fall asleep even though she was exhausted. she finally crashed around 11 and slept till 8:30:) not much titmousing either:) so that was her first xmas.

she's no longer toothless!!!

as i was sitting talking on the phone to tara, the little girl was gnawing on my thumb and it was sharp! not the usually gummy feeling. she's offically cutting a tooth!!!!!!!! :(((( it's on the bottom front so hopefully the booby is safe for now. she is growing up way too fast. she was also sick all day and last nite. i hope she is better tomorrow. she is pitiful when she is sick.

lola's a swingin

i cant believe she has been swinging for 35 min now. she is soo sleepy--oh no now she is pooping:) just killing a little time before the nightly bath. she is so funny. for the love of god if duke dosent quit screaming i will ring his little neck!!!!!!!!!!!!! i know he needs more attention but ffs dont we all. oh she is definitely pooping. gotta go change the girl and its bathtime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

day at the drs

lola was sooo sleepy today. she took a 4 hr nap!!! i know hard to believe.
i went to the dr today. gotta get the zoloft refilled you know:) im am WAY FAT!!!!!!! i must get a grip soon. im just so hungry all the time. i blame it on the breastfeeding. and it doesnt help that i sit on my fat ass most of the day and i LOVE ice cream.
lola had her 6 month well baby check up today. it went so much better than previous visits, although her dr drives me nuts!!! he insists on speaking endlessly to my husband who is a PA about medical politics. ugh- i wanted to tell him to shut the hell up!! then when i asked him about her rash. he says"its just viral honey". paul says he doesnt mean to be condesending but he sure comes across that way. anyway lola got her shots(3) and she did great!! she just held her breath for a minute and sceamed but when paul picked her up she was fine. much different from the last experiences when she would not let you put her down the rest of the day without screaming bloody murder. then she fell asleep on the way home.i guess growing takes it out of the little girl. she now weighs 18.7 lbs, is 25.5 inches long, and head size is 16 and 3/4. 80th percentile for weight, 50 for height, and 45 for head circumference. more excitement today---after we got home and sat down to dinner lo really wasnt in the mood. then she said the magic words ma ma!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omg i dont know if she realized what she said but it was so cool. and pg was there to witness it! she really does love me:))))) i love her!!!

no nap today

its too late-way past my bedtime. its been a long day but good to see some friends. went to lunch with david,paul and lola. lola sat in the restraunt highchair without one complaint! she's such a good girl and getting so big :) then went to cerellas and chatted with her and the boys-james and david. went to james' and he scanned some pics of lola for me---thank you very much:)!! came back and went through the bedtime routine and talked with david awhile and now its sleepy time!!! hope i get a few hours in without getting titmoused.

bizarre love triangle

this blogging can be addictive. its like the ultimate reality show. some serious, others just crazy and all over the world, connected by a computer. i mean really-can u imagine what the future holds? ive not been patient or had the time to sit here and ramble like anyone really cares what i have to say.

my tempurpedic is calling. and so will the titmouse before too long. did i mention that i love that little baby girl more than life itself. its the best kind of love ive ever felt. im thankful that i have her.

lolas smile

is there anything more sweet in life than to see your child smile at you? i just put the little titmouse down for her first nap of the day. she is developing a pattern of naps now. never thought id see the day:) but of course just to mix things up she is resisting right now. she usually just falls asleep without complaint at this nap. but not today. she is letting me know she has better things to do than nap. now all i hear is yanni (her favorite sleepy music)and duke purring.hells bells spoke to soon----
